About Me

My name is Doug Martin. I am a former member of the Minooka CCSD 201 school board. I was elected in April 2009 to a four-year term and re-elected in April 2013 to an additional four-year term which ended in on May 1, 2017.

I attended Minooka Elementary School and Minooka Junior High School. I also attended Minooka Community High School. I received a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) and a law degree from the University of Chicago. I am a former corporate attorney and currently work for a commercial/industrial concrete contractor in Romeoville, IL. I have served in the Army National Guard for over 26 years, am a veteran of the Iraq war (Operation Iraqi Freedom) and currently serve in the Army National Guard as a judge advocate at the rank of Colonel. My wife and I also own and operate a small business, Guardian Training, LLC.

My wife and I have one child who is attending a Minooka CCSD 201 school and one child who graduated from Minooka CCSD 201.
